Juneau Car Rental Company is a locally owned and operated company that has served the Juneau area for over 20 years that has recently changed ownership. Same central location, same great service. We provide a variety of vehicles that range from compact cars to 15-passenger vans.

Our Services

Our main office is centrally located one mile from the airport and four miles from the Auke Bay ferry terminal.

We do offer courtesy pickups to and from the Airport, Ferry Terminal and Statter Harbor if needed. Most situations we can and will drop off, and pick up your rental. The location of the rental will be sent to your phone along with an emailed rental agreement.

Cruise Ship Passengers - We can drop your rental vehicle off in one of our various downtown locations. Typical Locations are the Juneau Library or Twisted Fish Parking lot. The location of the rental will be sent to your phone along with an emailed rental agreement.

We may be able to provide arrangements for those needing to pick up and drop off vehicles outside of our normal business hours. *Service fee may apply

Airport Car Rentals

Our main office is located only one mile from the airport, this allows us to offer courtesy rides to and from the airport during our business hours.

Ferry Terminal Car Rentals

Our main office is located four miles from the Auke Bay Ferry Terminal, which allows us to provide courtesy rides during our business hours.

There are five cruise ship docks, Dock A through Dock E.

We provide a shuttle service and pick you up from your dock and bring you to our main office.

Car Rental Vehicle Drop Off -

Typical Rental Car Pick up and Drop off Locations: "P" Parking Garage, #22 Twisted Fish parking lot. If your ship arrives at the "A" or "B" dock you will need to walk to one of the Rental Car Pick up locations. You should expect between 5-10 minute walk to your vehicles location. We will send you the vehicles location and Lock box code for the keys.

Cancelation Policy

Travel in Alaska can be challenging. There are a multitude of reasons that can cause your travel or shore excursion plans to be disrupted. From airline and ferry mechanical issues and cancellations to high winds and dense fog. The weather in S.E. Alaska can go from sunny skies to a torrential downpour in 20 minutes. In the spring and fall there can be 30 degree temperature swings. Most of the time, your trip will go off without a hitch but due to the aforementioned reasons, please consider purchasing trip cancellation or travlers insurance.

For 11 and 15 passenger vans, we require 30 days prior notice to the reservation date to cancel without penalty. All other vehicle sizes require 48 hours prior notice to the reservation date to cancel without penalty.

We offer weekly and month long discounted rates. If for any reason you decide to return the vehicle prior to the pre-arranged date no refunds can be applied without our prior agreement to do so in writing. Please plan your rental carefully as we do not overbook the rentals. Once your vehicle is reserved, it is out of our system and we lose the opportunity to rent it. We do this so that our customers can be assured that they have a vehicle reserved for them when they arrive.
